Main Ingredients:
6 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk (whole, low-fat, or plant-based)
1/2 cup heavy cream (or use more milk)
200g cooked bacon (or turkey/beef bacon)
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped onions
2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional: chopped fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or chives)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a pie or baking dish.
Cook bacon until crispy. Drain and chop into small pieces.
Sauté onions in olive oil or butter until translucent.
Whisk eggs, milk, cream, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
Layer bacon, onions, and cheese in the baking dish.
Pour custard mixture over the filling. Sprinkle with herbs and Parmesan.
Bake for 35–40 minutes until the center is set and top is golden.
Cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing and serving.
