- 1.5 lbs halal chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup coconut cream
- 1 cup halal chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Add all ingredients (except coconut cream and lemon juice) into the crockpot.
- Stir well to coat the chicken in spices.
- Cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
- Stir in coconut cream and lemon juice in the final 30 minutes.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve with basmati rice or naan.
