For the Brownie Layer:
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp salt
For the Cheesecake Layer:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
For the Caramel Swirl:
- ⅓ cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- Optional: flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk together brownie ingredients and pour into the prepared pan.
- Beat cheesecake ingredients until smooth, then spread gently over brownie batter.
- Drizzle caramel sauce on top and swirl gently with a knife or toothpick.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.
- Cool completely and refrigerate for 2+ hours before slicing for clean layers.
