- 1 cup unsalted butter (cut into cubes)
- 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- ΒΌ cup milk (or plant-based milk for dairy-free)
- ΒΌ tsp salt
- 2β3 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar and stir constantly for 2β3 minutes.
- Pour in milk and salt. Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer 2 more minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool 10β15 minutes.
- Add vanilla and powdered sugar gradually, whisking or beating until smooth.
- Let set or chill if needed before piping or spreading.
