Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers

Ingredients

  • Ground chicken
  • Fresh spinach (chopped)
  • Sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • Breadcrumbs or almond flour
  • Egg
  • Onion (finely chopped)
  • Garlic powder
  • Dijon mustard
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & pepper
  • Whole wheat burger buns
  • Optional: lettuce, tomato, onion, Greek yogurt or aioli

Instructions

  1. Mix chicken, spinach, cheese, and other patty ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Shape into 4 patties, pressing a dent in the center of each.
  3. Cook on a greased skillet or grill over medium heat, 5–6 minutes per side until internal temp hits 165°F (74°C).
  4. Toast buns, assemble with veggies and sauce, and serve hot.
