  • 1/2 cup sugar-free marinara sauce or seasoned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1/4 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Olive oil spray (for baking dish)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground meat over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Lightly grease an oven-safe bowl or small baking dish.
  3. Layer the cooked meat on the bottom.
  4. Spoon marinara sauce evenly over the meat.
  5. Top with shredded mozzarella, Parmesan (if using), and your choice of vegetables and seasonings.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  7. Bake for 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
  8. Sprinkle with additional oregano or fresh basil before serving.
