- 1 head green cabbage (cut into thick slices)
- 1 lb lean ground beef (or plant-based meat)
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce (no alcohol)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (or vegan alternative)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- Olive oil (for brushing cabbage)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Brush cabbage slices with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and roast for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine ground meat, garlic, green onions, parsley, chili flakes, half the cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Form patties and place on roasted cabbage slices.
- Top with tomato sauce and remaining cheese.
- Bake for another 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and patties are cooked through.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings or sides.
