- 6–8 fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free alternative)
- ½ cup cold butter (or plant-based butter)
- ¼ tsp salt
- Optional: ½ cup chopped pecans or almonds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Toss sliced peaches with lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar. Spread in dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, salt, and butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle topping evenly over peaches.
- Bake 35–40 minutes, until golden and bubbling.
- Cool slightly before serving.
