Ingredients
For the Shrimp Chow Mein:
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined (medium or large size)
8 oz Chow Mein noodles (or thin spaghetti as a substitute)
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 cup sliced bell peppers (red, green, or yellow)
1 cup julienned carrots
2 cups bean sprouts (optional)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon grated ginger
3 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
For the Sauce:
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
¼ cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch (for thickening)
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Instructions
Prepare Noodles: Cook Chow Mein noodles until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Make Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch.
Cook Shrimp: Sear shrimp in oil until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Stir-Fry Vegetables: Sauté garlic, ginger, cabbage, bell peppers, and carrots until crisp-tender.
Combine & Serve: Add noodles, shrimp, and sauce to the skillet. Toss well, garnish with green onions, and enjoy!
